Restora

Restora privacy, data controls, and support

Restora is a local point-of-sale and restaurant operations app built and published by Dragons Den. This page explains what the app stores, what leaves the device, how to delete data, and how to contact support.

Effective date: July 29, 2026. App version: 1.0.1.

Privacy policy

Dragons Den builds and publishes Restora. The restaurant, cafe, shop, or other business operating Restora controls the business and customer records entered on its device.

Data stored locally

Restora can store store details, employee usernames and roles, password hashes, inventory, prices, product images, sales, invoices, refunds, discounts, customer names and phone numbers entered for orders, delivery addresses, table and reservation details, payment status and references, kitchen instructions, activity history, settings, logs, crash reports, backups, and recovery points. By default, this information stays in the app data area on the device and is not uploaded to Dragons Den.

Google Mobile Ads

After a local user signs in, Restora may show banner or native ads. An optional rewarded interstitial is shown only after a user accepts a clear offer to hide banner and native ads for 30 minutes; declining or skipping does not restrict any feature. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share an IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, app interactions, diagnostic information, advertising or app-set identifiers, and related device information with Google for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google states that this traffic is encrypted in transit. Where required, Restora presents Google consent choices before requesting ads and provides an in-app ad preferences entry point.

Notifications and Google Play

On Android, Restora asks for notification permission after sign-in. When the publisher Firebase configuration is included, Firebase Cloud Messaging can deliver Restora product and business notices. Firebase may process an installation identifier, app version, device and app metadata, installer information, and SDK versions to provide messaging. Restora does not include Firebase Analytics or enable optional BigQuery delivery-metrics export. Google Play handles in-app updates and the system review card. Any rating or review text you choose to submit is processed by Google Play and may become public on the store listing.

Local network features

Printer discovery checks devices on the current local network for a printer service, normally TCP port 9100. WebShare starts only when a user enables it and publishes selected pages from the device to the local WiFi network. The customer menu is intentionally public on that network. Kitchen and admin actions require the configured PIN. Local WebShare uses HTTP rather than TLS, so users must use a trusted private network and stop WebShare when it is not needed.

Support communications

If you email Dragons Den, the message, email address, attachments, and technical details you choose to send are processed to answer the request. Email providers may also process that communication. Do not send passwords, full payment references, or a business database unless support specifically requests it and you are authorized to share it.

Retention

Business data remains on the device until an authorized user deletes it, clears app storage, or uninstalls Restora. Local diagnostic logs and crash reports are designed for retention of up to 30 days. Backups and recovery points remain until deleted. Support communications are retained only as reasonably needed to respond, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

Security

Restora hashes local account passwords and uses role permissions. The local database and backups are not represented as encrypted at rest. Device owners are responsible for device access controls, trusted networks, strong WebShare PINs, secure backup storage, and limiting staff permissions. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children and changes

Restora is a business point-of-sale tool and is not directed to children. This policy may change when Restora features, SDKs, or legal obligations change. The current version will remain available on this page.

Data and account deletion

Restora does not create a Dragons Den cloud account and Dragons Den cannot remotely access the POS database on your device.

Before deleting local data, create and verify a backup if business or legal retention rules require one.

Terms and conditions

By installing or using Restora, you agree to these terms. If you use Restora for a business, you confirm that you are authorized to accept them for that business.

Service scope

Restora provides local point-of-sale, inventory, invoice, reporting, restaurant-order, kitchen-display, reservation, menu, printer, and WebShare tools. It records payment status and method but does not process card payments, transfer money, provide credit, lend funds, or provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for configuration, prices, taxes, discounts, stock counts, staff permissions, refunds, customer notices, lawful data entry, checking totals, protecting devices and networks, and keeping independent backups.

Acceptable use

Do not use Restora to violate law, rights, network security, payment rules, employment duties, or privacy obligations. Do not attempt unauthorized access to devices, services, or data.

Availability and liability

Restora is provided on an as-available basis to the extent permitted by law. Software and devices can fail. Dragons Den does not promise uninterrupted operation, universal printer compatibility, exact tax treatment, or recovery of locally deleted data. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes

Features and these terms may change through app updates. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Support and contact

For a problem report, include the app version, device model, expected behavior, actual behavior, and steps to reproduce it. Do not send passwords or sensitive business data unless support specifically requests it.
