Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Booksy mobile application. “Booksy,” “we,” and “our” refer to the Booksy application and its developer.
Booksy is an offline-first record-keeping tool for inventory, sales, purchases, payments, expenses, and related business activity. This policy does not govern third-party apps or services that you choose to open from Booksy.
02 · On your device
Information stored locally
Booksy stores the information you enter in private app storage on your device. Depending on how you use the app, this can include:
- products, categories, stock levels, and stock movements;
- sales, purchases, returns, invoices, and line items;
- customer and supplier names, phone numbers, and addresses;
- payments, accounts, expenses, balances, and due dates;
- business profile details, invoice terms, and notes;
- activity history, reminders, saved filters, and settings; and
- receipt images that you deliberately select and attach.
We use this information to perform the ledger functions you request, calculate summaries, create invoices and reports, restore scheduled local reminders, and display your history.
03 · Third-party service
Google Mobile Ads
Booksy uses Google advertising services to display advertising and support selected ad-funded features. Google and its partners may automatically collect, process, or share data such as IP-derived approximate location, device or account identifiers, product interactions, ad interactions, diagnostics, and performance information for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Where required, Booksy presents Google’s consent flow before requesting ads. Available advertising privacy choices can be reopened from Settings → Ads & exports → Ad preferences. The options available depend on your location and Google’s requirements.

04 · Your choice
Exports, sharing, and WhatsApp
Information leaves Booksy only when the advertising service processes it as described above or when you deliberately start an external action. User-initiated actions include:
- creating, printing, saving, or sharing a PDF invoice/report;
- exporting expense or ledger information as a CSV file;
- choosing a receipt with your device’s file picker; and
- opening WhatsApp with a payment-reminder message.
The application, person, service, or folder you select receives the content you choose. Its privacy practices then apply, and Booksy does not control its copy. Review customer and business details before sharing.
05 · Device access
Permissions and device features
Notifications
If enabled, notification permission is used for local reminders such as overdue balances, low stock, recurring expenses, daily closing, and backup reminders. Booksy receives the device boot event so scheduled reminders can be restored after restart.
Files
Receipt selection and export destinations use your device’s file picker. After selection, Booksy copies the receipt image into its private app storage so it remains available with the expense. Booksy does not request broad access to all files on your device.
Internet and network state
Ledger functions do not require a network connection. Network access supports Google Mobile Ads, advertising consent, and user-requested external destinations such as WhatsApp.
06 · Your controls
Retention, backup, and deletion
Local records and Booksy-managed receipt attachments remain until you edit or delete them, clear Booksy data, or uninstall the app. Removing a receipt or deleting its expense deletes Booksy’s private copy of that attachment. Use Settings → Privacy & data → Data maintenance to remove local records and managed receipt attachments after typed confirmation.
Booksy is configured not to include its private records in supported automatic cloud backup or device-transfer processes. Device manufacturers can implement transfer behavior differently, so verify your device’s backup settings if that is important to you.
07 · Safeguards
Security
Booksy relies on private app storage and your device’s operating system protections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device with an appropriate screen lock, keep Android updated, review exports before sharing, and maintain any separate backup your business requires.
08 · Audience
Children’s privacy
Booksy is a business record-keeping application and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly design the service to collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information through the app should use the contact method below.
09 · Revisions
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Booksy’s features, third-party services, or legal obligations change. The effective and last updated dates at the top identify the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app or its official store listing as appropriate.
10 · Privacy questions
Contact
For a privacy request or question, use the verified developer support contact shown on Booksy’s official Google Play listing. Include “Booksy privacy” in the subject and do not send customer, payment, or ledger records unless specifically necessary.
